Christmas experience encompassing 7 immersive thematic zones on 17 acres featuring over 1.2 million lights, family friendly entertainment and exhilarating activities. Lone Star Lights is fast becoming a Houston fan favorite with attendance growing each of the past two years and to keep up with demand, we are actively recruiting for positions throughout the park.

- LSL Event Staff
Department: Lone Star Lights
General Qualifications
The Lone Star Lights Event staff must be a mature follower of Jesus, still growing and developing in their
faith. They must be fully in accordance with Carolina Creek’s mission statement, and statement of beliefs; committed to living these out personally, and instilling them in the organization. They must be of strong moral character and integrity.
Position Objective
The Lone Star Lights Event staff member will work various positions to ensure that the event runs to the best of its ability. These various positions could include, but are not limited to dinner theatre servers, adventure and activities, cleaning, snow zone, retail, parking attendant, etc. to create a positive, and memorable experience for Lone Star Lights guests.

Key Job Accountabilities
Assist in a variety of stations as needed. Areas may include:
- Dinner Theater – serving meals, collecting dishes from tables, washing dishes, and other kitchen assignments
- Facilitating adventure activities: challenge course, zipline, and giant swing for guests of all ages
- Supervise general recreation areas such as the light maze, snow zone, train rides, bounce house
- Craft areas – supervise craft area, provide craft instructions, point of sale for craft participation, maintain clean craft area
- Story book reading
- Provide cleaning support around park during the event
- Guide guests to the correct lots and parking locations with a smile
- Attend all required staff meetings and events
- Actively engage and participate in the staff community through a godly attitude, words, and actions
- All other tasks as assigned by the supervisor
Pay
$60 per night including housing and meals for nights worked
Commitment Bonus if you work at least 17 of the 19 event nights.

- LSL Photographer
General Qualifications
The Lone Star Lights Photographer must be a mature follower of Jesus, still growing and developing in their faith. They must be fully in accord with Carolina Creek’s mission statement and statement of beliefs, committed to living these out personally, and instilling them in the organization. They must be of strong moral character and integrity.
Position Objective
Capture the Joy of Christmas as families create memories in Santa’s Cabin. Guide guests through the photo experience with a warm presence, strategic posing, and provide high-quality images for guests to print in-house or take home digitally. You may also capture candid shots of the excitement and wonder the guests experience as they journey through the park. Lead with joy, create a great experience, and guide those around you one step closer to Jesus through the magic of Christmas.

- Able to put customers at ease and help them pose for the best picture possible
- Walk the park and capture candid photos of guests enjoying the festivities

- Actively participate in and contribute to the broader camp programs of Carolina Creek

- LSL Retail Coordinator
General Qualifications
The Lone Star Lights Retail Coordinator should be a follower of Jesus, who is in accordance with Carolina Creek Christian Camps’ mission statement and statement of beliefs. They must be of strong moral character and integrity. Must be able to fulfill all job responsibilities and physical demands with or without reasonable accommodations.
Position Objective
Would you like to bring joy to others during the Christmas season by helping them experience the love of Jesus? Lone Star Lights is an amazing family-friendly, walk-through Christmas light experience with live entertainment, fun activities for all ages, local vendors, and of course, lights! We are looking for friendly, reliable people to join our team. Our Retail Coordinator will help our guests find the perfect memorabilia to remember their experience at Lone Star Lights or find the perfect gift.

- Cash handling – accept payment and provide correct change as needed
- Balance cash register at store opening and closing
- Use POS program to complete transactions
- Prepare and submit Daily Store Earnings form nightly

- Maintain a polite and warm attitude

As a Stable Host, you will greet guests visiting Rolly the Reindeer’s stable, assist Rolly in engaging with visitors, and help maintain a safe distance for the crowd.

They must demonstrate strong moral character and integrity and be able to fulfill all job responsibilities and physical demands with or without reasonable accommodations.
Position Objective
Would you like to bring joy to others during the Christmas season by helping them experience the love of Jesus? Lone Star Lights is a family-friendly, walk-through Christmas light experience with live entertainment, activities for all ages, local vendors, and festive lights! We are looking for friendly, reliable people to join our team. Our Character Voice role plays “Rolly the Reindeer” and engages with guests as they pass by his stable on their way to see Santa. This position works closely with the Stable Host, who assists with crowd control and helps Rolly understand any soft-spoken questions.
